Reviews

The Revenant has been one of 2016's most successful movies due to its flawless story, acting, directing, and phenomenal publicity regarding the main actor Leonardo DiCaprio winning his first Oscar award and its pretty easy to see why. The film which follows the survival and revenge story of a hunter left to die in the harsh American wilderness is highly rated from both the users and critics of RottenTomatoes, Metacritic and IMDb. "The film is harsh, cruel and riveting. Something which can sink its teeth into the audience from the very beginning and stay with them long after the closing credits are rolled." said Metacritic top critic Mike Scott. It's pretty difficult to find a review which doesn't highlight Leo DiCaprio's stunning performance displaying unbelievable levels of grit and determination to survive throughout the long dialog of the film. Colin Covert of RottenTomatoes praises the film for flawlessly using the unconventional film making that America's movie industry has nearly abandoned, predicting early on that the film would be one of the greatest of the decade, and I think he's completely correct, based on the high ratings and profit margins the film has reeled in.
