When Po's long lost panda father suddenly reappears, the pair find their way to a secret panda paradise to meet a variety of new panda characters. All is going well until the supernatural villain Kai spreads his wrath across China, meaning Po must train the pandas in paradise to form a kung fu army.
How could you not like a film which combines pandas and martial arts, complete with a mix of modern and traditional themes all presented in flawless animation? The fantastic film carries you along no matter how silly the story line gets, which is extremely silly as the film is targeted for a young audience. Critics and audiences were pretty much in agreement on this one with high ratings for both on Rotten Tomatoes. Metacritic gives it a relatively moderate score of 6.6 with generally favourable reviews. Most reviewers seemed to enjoy the overall look and feel of the film and the way it all comes together, including the visuals, the voices and the music. Definitely a film with something for everyone, or as they say "a film that the whole family can enjoy."
