The writer from www.thestar.com relates the film to an over hyped Vegas brawl saying that the plot is such a let down which has been falsely billed, a common thought of many critics. The idea was there to make a great film, I mean who wouldn't want to see Batman fight Superman? It's definitely the lack of depth which made it miss with the critics. Even though the critics hate it the film has been a massive success world wide with the box office earning a staggering $850,000,000 along with great user reviews and high ratings on IMDb, Rottentomatoes, and Metacritic. Although the film has pulled in what seems to be huge figures the earnings still fell far short of what Captain America: Civil War earned, a movie with Batman vs Superman is often compared to as they were released in a similar time period.
